Job Summary The Compensation Manager is responsible for analyzing and administering compensation programs to ensure market competitiveness, internal equity, and compliance. This role provides data-driven recommendations to support hiring, promotions, and pay decisions while partnering with HR and business leaders to align compensation strategy with organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or a related HR function
  • Experience conducting market pricing, job evaluations, and salary structure development
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading salary banding and job leveling initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present compensation data clearly
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of compensation-related regulations, including FLSA and pay equity requirements
  • Ability to partner effectively with HR and business stakeholders and manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or progress toward certification
  • Experience in construction, industrial services, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive, multi-site organizations
  • Experience in high-growth, acquisition-driven environments

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a company-wide salary banding and job leveling initiative to align roles, career paths, and pay ranges across the organization
  • Analyze and administer compensation programs to ensure internal equity and external market competitiveness
  • Conduct market pricing and benchmarking; develop, maintain, and adjust salary structures and pay ranges
  • Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to provide guidance on compensation decisions
  • Evaluate job descriptions and assess roles to ensure accurate classification and alignment within salary bands
  • Support annual compensation processes, including merit increases, promotions, and incentive planning
  • Prepare clear compensation analyses, reports, and recommendations for leadership and key stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with compensation-related regulations and support pay equity analysis efforts
  • Maintain compensation data integrity within HRIS and related systems
