About The Position

NFM’s Compensation Manager leads the strategy, design, administration, and continuous improvement of the organization’s compensation programs. This role ensures pay practices are equitable, competitive, legally compliant, and aligned with business goals to attract, retain, and motivate talent. You will have the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule. Candidates must reside in NE, IA, MO, TX, or KS. Your work will directly impact our ability to help people create a lifestyle they love, for the people they love—because that’s what we love.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, finance, management, or related area
  • 6 or more years of compensation experience
  • 6 years management experience
  • Human Resource systems
  • Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
  • Technical expertise in compensation
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs
  • Valid driver’s license and ongoing acceptable driving record
  • Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to criminal background check

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with multiple-state operations preferred
  • Experience in the design and implementation of incentive plans helpful

Responsibilities

  • Manage: Coach, mentor and develop the Compensation team
  • Create: Develops and implements salary structure and administrative guidelines
  • Guide: Directs job analysis to determine appropriate salary level
  • Direct: Conduct market research and analyze industry data to stay informed on compensation trends and best practices
  • Analyze: Directs analysis of compensation polices to ensure governmental compliance, internal equity, and external competitiveness
  • Suggest: Recommend and design special compensation programs, incentives, and recognition programs that support organizational objectives
  • Examine: Research and resolve compensation issues company-wide
