Role Summary The Compensation Consultant is responsible for all aspects of compensation programs for investment professionals, including base pay, bonuses, and long-term incentives. Responsibilities include designing and applying advanced modeling to analyze scenarios, forecast results, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and market trends. They ensure compliance, conduct market benchmarking to maintain competitive pay, and analyze data to support compensation modeling. This role reports to the VP, Compensation & Benefits. This hybrid position will be based out of our Kansas City office. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience applying analytical methodologies in a consultative manner within a corporate setting, ideally in investment management, private equity, or financial services.
  • Technical skills including the ability to analyze and extract key insights from critical data sets, such as market benchmarking, data analytics, and understanding complex investment compensation structures
  • Influences, communicates effectively, and works creatively with senior business leaders, peers, and colleagues
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to prioritize, plan, coordinate and follow through on assignments
  • Fact based, detail oriented, and analytical approach
  • Outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field

Responsibilities

  • Ensure total compensation programs meet changing needs by assessing leading practices and aligning to business and industry strategies
  • Model, recommend, and implement compensation programs that align compensation outcomes to business priorities and performance
  • Maintain current, extensive technical knowledge of compensation practices, trends and legislative/regulatory activities as they affect the organization and compensation policies and programs
  • Provide senior leaders with concise market insights and competitive compensation analysis to help influence desired outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as needed by your manager
