About The Position

The Compensation Consultant will be instrumental in developing and implementing a comprehensive compensation project. This role requires strategic thinking and a deep understanding of compensation practices, focusing on job titling, leveling, market pricing, and associate mapping. The consultant will collaborate with HR Business Partners and executives to present compensation alternatives while ensuring alignment with the company's compensation philosophy. The position demands strong project management and database management skills, along with the ability to conduct annual market analyses and provide recommendations on various compensation programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 7 years of compensation experience, including job architecture and market pricing.
  • Experience in large-scale compensation projects, leading project teams and developing change management plans.
  • Familiarity with market pricing tools such as CompAnalyst, Mercer, and Culpepper is preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookups.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

  • Lead compensation projects across the organization, including market pricing, job architecture, and incentive design.
  • Complete job evaluations for leaders and HR to retain and recruit key talent.
  • Assist in recommending job descriptions for new and modified roles.
  • Market price new and modified jobs to create or validate pay structures.
  • Provide guidance to HR Business Partners and leaders on compensation and incentive design.
  • Conduct reviews based on Fair Labor Standards Act and state compensation regulations.
  • Perform advanced compensation analysis and identify trends with recommendations.
  • Create incentive and commission plans as required.
  • Develop compensation communications and training materials.
  • Assess the impact of compensation changes on budgets and revenue, recommending program design options.
  • Prepare compensation administrative guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Partner with HRBP to implement a compensation remodel related to job profiles and market pricing.
