About The Position

The Compensation & Benefits Manager for the West Division at Oldcastle will oversee the management of compensation and benefit plans and programs within CRH Americas Materials. This role serves as a crucial liaison between Corporate Compensation/Benefits and local HR, Management, and Benefit Administrators, ensuring effective communication and support regarding compensation philosophy and benefit oversight. The manager will be responsible for enhancing the employee experience with benefits by addressing employee benefit issues, providing exceptional customer service, and conducting training sessions for HR, management, payroll, and employees to improve their understanding of benefits. In addition to managing the benefits aspect, the Compensation & Benefits Manager will also act as the West Division Compensation Manager. This includes the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs and incentive plans. The manager will utilize data to monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommend changes that align with corporate objectives and compensation trends. They will provide guidance to corporate staff on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations, while also overseeing participation in salary surveys to ensure that corporate compensation objectives are met. Compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations is a critical aspect of this role. The position also involves supervising the West Division Benefits Manager and Data Manager, mentoring them, and ensuring accurate data exchange and timely updates between systems. The manager will oversee the People Powered Recognition Program and conduct due diligence for compensation and benefits analyses during acquisitions. This role requires a proactive approach to managing various responsibilities and collaborating with Division/Region HR teams on merit increases and annual compensation cycles. The manager will also be expected to perform other duties as directed by management, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
