About The Position

The Global Reward team in Vestas oversees all global strategies, policies and processes within the area of compensation and benefits. We establish the frameworks and governance that enable Vestas to attract and retain highly skilled professionals while positioning the company as an appealing and responsible employer. To ensure the right frameworks and governance we use a methodical and holistic approach to design, develop and implement and maintain programs and processes within the compensation and benefit area; including core compensation components, incentives, position and organizational evaluation, and other employee benefits. We also advise and approve on decisions regarding compensation across the organization with the use of internal and external benchmarks and detailed data analysis.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Business Administration, HR, or a related field.
  • Proficient in English, written and spoken.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience as a Compensation and Benefits Specialist, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in compensation and benefits processes.
  • Experience with compensation survey data sources and methodologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. federal labor laws and regulations, including Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Equal Pay Act (EPA), Civil Rights Act (Title VII), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
  • Familiarity with state-specific compensation laws within the US and Canadian Provinces and Territories.
  • Experience ensuring pay equity and compliance with internal governance and external legal standards.
  • Ability to interpret and apply benchmarking data in compliance with U.S. labor regulations.
  • Comfortable working with legal and compliance teams to ensure compensation practices meet regulatory standards.
  • Highly experienced in Excel and HR systems (we use SuccessFactors and SAP).
  • Experience at a large, global company.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of regional reward and benefit strategies aligned with global frameworks, local market conditions and legislation.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to regional stakeholders on competitive compensation and benefit practices using market data and benchmarking to inform strategies.
  • Regional responsibility of the annual reward and benefits cycle; including annual benchmarking, administrating annual merit and/ or bonus, pay equity reviews, cost modeling, budget input, off-cycle increases, and promotion approvals.
  • Regional governance and administration of other compensation practices and programs. Including position evaluations, spot awards, allowances, benefits and other elements related to total compensation.
  • Ensure alignment between regional benefits strategies, workforce needs, talent and culture strategies.
  • Assess effectiveness of current benefit programs and recommend enhancements or redesigns based on benchmarking, feedback, utilization, and cost.
  • Educate employees and managers on reward programs and policies through training and communication.
  • Participate in global projects and initiatives, representing regional perspectives.
