The Compensation and Benefits Analyst plays a crucial role in the Human Resources department by performing advanced functions related to compensation, benefits, and job analysis. This position involves ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, maintaining databases, and providing analytical support to HR operations. The analyst will also assist in job classification, data analysis, and report preparation, while serving as a resource for employees and management regarding HR-related inquiries.

  • Review, confirm and process compensation, benefits, and position related actions ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
  • Maintain applicable databases and spreadsheets related to HR operations.
  • Review new or revised positions for appropriate classification and determine pay grade and exemption classification.
  • Assist with creating and modifying job descriptions in compliance with FLSA.
  • Provide HR-related analytical support and perform compensation and benefits research.
  • Prepare reports by exporting/importing data from multiple sources while maintaining data integrity.
  • Maintain financial software to ensure accuracy of employee, position, benefit, absence, and compensation data.
  • Perform administrative duties related to employee records and position control data.
  • Conduct external salary or benefit surveys and participate in surveys from other entities.
  • Administer new hire orientation and process new hire data.
  • Maintain organized electronic and hardcopy record keeping and file systems.
  • Assist employees and management with policy interpretation and resolution of HR issues.
  • High School graduation or its equivalent is required.
  • Three years of Human Resources or related experience is required, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities are required.
  • Intermediate level computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and data entry are required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business management or a related field is preferred.
  • Five years of Human Resources or related experience is preferred.
  • HR certifications such as PHR and/or SHRM-CP are preferred.
  • Competitive hourly wage starting at $24.21 per hour.
