About The Position

The Compensation Analyst provides analytical support to the Compensation team and business groups to ensure alignment between compensation programs and business objectives. The analyst understands business goals to support existing compensation plans, develops predictive analytical models to evaluate the impact of proposed changes, and summarizes market research to inform compensation best practices.

Requirements

  • Strong ability to interpret complex data, perform statistical analysis, and use advanced mathematical concepts to assess compensation structures and business impacts.
  • Skilled in querying, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with data tools such as Oracle HCM, Pay Factors, Microsoft Access, and VBA.
  • Understanding of compensation structures, salary analysis, incentive programs, and job evaluation principles; ability to align compensation practices with organizational strategy and market benchmarks.
  • Ability to connect compensation decisions to financial outcomes, assess the impact of pilots and new programs, and support business goals through data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to summarize complex analyses and present insights in a clear, concise, and visually compelling way to influence decision-making.
  • Proactive in identifying process inefficiencies, surfacing issues, and recommending enhancements to improve program accuracy, timeliness, and impact.
  • Builds effective partnerships with HR and business leaders; serves as a trusted resource for compensation guidance and insights.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, collaborative environment; demonstrates ownership and accountability for deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Execute assigned compensation programs accurately and on schedule.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of compensation programs that meet business needs, including commissions, incentives, salary structure analysis, salary adjustments, and program evaluations.
  • Query and analyze complex datasets to gather information for reporting and decision-making.
  • Provide advanced analytical support to align compensation programs with business and HR strategic objectives, assessing the financial impact of pilots, test-and-learn initiatives, new programs, and policy changes.
  • Audit, assess, and summarize current compensation programs through standard and ad hoc reporting to ensure accuracy, effectiveness, and alignment with business goals.
  • Research and resolve both individual and organizational compensation issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and recommend enhancements to increase efficiency and impact.
  • Serve as a liaison to assigned business groups by answering questions, providing compensation insights, and evaluating programs in response to business partner requests.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
