About The Position

The Compensation Analyst at Henderson Engineers plays a crucial role in supporting the compensation process, ensuring accurate data management, compliance, and timely reporting. This position involves managing compensation tools, conducting salary market analysis, and contributing to strategic initiatives while leading job evaluations and maintaining competitive pay practices across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, finance, or a related field required.
  • 4 years of experience in compensation administration, HR analytics, or related field required.
  • Working knowledge of compensation laws and regulations.
  • Experience working with compensation tools and HRIS systems (Dayforce, Workday, SuccessFactors, etc.).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, specifically v-lookup and pivot tables.
  • Experience performing job evaluations with a deep understanding of job structures and hierarchies.
  • Experience with salary surveys, market analysis, and salary benchmarking.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Compensation or HR Certification preferred, such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), SHRM-CP or PHR.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct job evaluations and manage the process of gathering data and drafting job descriptions in collaboration with HRBPs and managers.
  • Ensure job descriptions accurately reflect job duties and align with organizational structures.
  • Share best practices and make recommendations regarding job structures and hierarchies.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs and department heads to assess FLSA classifications and ensure compliance.
  • Manage a collaborative space for monitoring job description updates and action items.
  • Administer the salary survey process, including calendar management, data collection, job matching, data submission, and analysis of survey results.
  • Conduct benchmarking, job leveling, and assist with FLSA classification assessments.
  • Partner with HRIS Administrator to ensure accurate maintenance of job codes, job setup details, pay ranges, and geo zones.
  • Assist with market studies, compliance reviews, pay transparency legislation, and other compensation-related analysis and projects.
