About The Position

The Compensation Analyst at VieMed will manage and help develop compensation programs, including base pay, incentives, bonuses, and stock options. The role involves ensuring alignment of the compensation package with the company's goals and evaluating job positions to determine appropriate compensation levels. The analyst will compare the organization's compensation practices against competitors and prepare various financial reports and key statistics monthly. Compliance with federal and state laws regarding compensation practices is essential. The analyst will work closely with internal departments to understand the impact of compensation decisions and aggregate data on an entity level, exercising confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment in the performance of duties. Additional responsibilities include reconciling employee bonus compensation plans and payments, utilizing excel-based reporting to build commission models, maintaining process flow documents, preparing bonus/commission payments, coordinating with accounting for data completeness, summarizing accrual results, maintaining the payroll system general ledger, and coordinating annual financial and SOX controls audit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources or a related field
  • Ability to understand the laws and regulations affecting compensation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to partner effectively with all internal business lines

Responsibilities

  • Manage and help develop compensation programs, including base pay, incentives, bonuses, and stock options
  • Ensure alignment of compensation package within the Company's goals
  • Evaluate job positions to determine appropriate compensation levels
  • Compare the organization's compensation practices against competitors
  • Prepare and communicate various financial reports and key statistics monthly
  • Ensure compensation practices comply with federal and state laws
  • Work closely with internal departments to understand the impact of compensation decisions and aggregate data on an entity level
  • Exercise confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgement in performance of duties
  • Reconcile employee bonus compensation plans and payments to ensure accuracy
  • Utilize excel-based reporting to build commission models and calculate commission payments
  • Maintain schedule and process flow documents to account for all paid bonus/commission payments for all VieMed companies
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual bonus/commission payments and review for accuracy
  • Coordinate with Accounting to ensure completeness of data used to calculate bonus and commission payments
  • Summarize and present monthly, quarterly and annual accrual results to the accounting department
  • Maintain payroll system general ledger
  • Coordinate annual financial and SOX controls audit with internal and external parties
  • Prepare audit deliverables on a timely basis and participate in process walkthroughs with internal finance team and external auditors
