About the position
The position facilitates the physician compensation checklist and approval process for all MercyOne sites. It involves conducting survey analysis, market trends, interpretation of salary data, and facilitating ongoing review and analysis of physician and NPP’s compensation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare documentation to validate the fair market value of physician and physician-owned entity compensation structures.
- Prepare state wide market analysis for physician and NPP compensation and productivity.
- Facilitate external reviews/Fair Market Valuations with consulting firms.
- Maintain and communicate fair market value data.
- Collaborate and consult with management and employees regarding compensation programs.
- Facilitate the completion of physician and NPP salary surveys.
- Provide state-wide leadership on physician compensation matters.
- Develop and maintain expertise on current trends in compensation methodologies.
- Aid senior leadership in development of compensation principles and standards.
- Develop reports including findings, options, and recommendations for changes in compensation.
- Analyze market data and internal compensation levels.
- Facilitate the Provider Position Control Approval Process.
- Coordinate and prepare documentation for Compensation Review Panel and other meetings.
- Create contracting workflows, procedures, checklists, and efficiency tools.
- Review Meditract reports to ensure compliance with compensation arrangements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Ability to effectively present information to senior leadership.
- Ability to respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies, customers, and the business community.
- Strong healthcare knowledge desired.
