About The Position
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate male helper to provide companion care for Mr. John Boyd, who is living with early-stage dementia. He is mostly mobile but often lies on the floor, and benefits greatly from encouragement, engagement, and gentle assistance to stay active and motivated. This role focuses on companionship, movement, and safety support in a respectful and supportive home environment.
Requirements
- Patient, encouraging, and physically able to assist with getting up from the floor
Nice To Haves
- Experience with dementia care is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide companion care and meaningful engagement
- Encourage movement and light walking around the home
- Play games and participate in activities to keep him engaged
- Sit with and supervise Mr. Boyd to ensure safety
- Assist him in getting up safely when he is on the floor
