About The Position

KaiPod Learning is reshaping education by supporting both company-operated learning pods and independent microschool founders across the country. Our learning pods serve students in small, supportive groups led by trained Learning Coaches, using personalized, family-selected curricula. We also empower entrepreneurial founders launching microschools of all models—faith-based, outdoor, gifted, and more—to bring their educational vision to life. As we grow, we're seeking a Company Pods Lead to take a leadership role in managing 8 KaiPod Learning Centers and a team of 16 Learning Coaches. This is a dynamic, high-impact position ideal for someone with a background in school leadership, a passion for innovation in education, and a desire to develop strong, student-centered communities. The Company Pods Lead will be responsible for the overall quality, consistency, and effectiveness of programming at all KaiPod sites, directly supervising and coaching a team of Learning Coaches. You will set the tone for culture, student engagement, and academic excellence at each site, while also contributing to the broader growth and impact of KaiPod’s national network. This is a highly collaborative role that combines strategic leadership, operational oversight, and hands-on support for educators. You’ll serve as a model for educational excellence and lead with empathy, adaptability, and a deep commitment to student success.

Requirements

  • Proven Leadership Experience: At least five years in a leadership role, managing or coaching educators
  • Instructional Expertise: Minimum of 3–5 years teaching, with deep understanding of personalized and alternative education models
  • Strong Communication & Relationship Skills: Able to inspire, coach, and build trust with team members and families
  • Organizational Agility: Comfortable managing complex schedules, coordinating multiple sites, and solving challenges quickly
  • Commitment to Inclusion & Neurodiversity: Deep understanding of how to support diverse learners in creative and student-centered ways
  • Growth Mindset: Seeks feedback, takes initiative, and stays solutions-oriented in the face of challenge
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3–5 years of classroom teaching experience
  • 5+ years in a leadership or instructional coaching role
  • Ability to travel periodically to pod sites both local and out of state

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with homeschooling, microschooling, or school choice movements
  • Experience working with neurodivergent students or implementing executive functioning strategies
  • Exposure to a range of academic models (e.g., Montessori, PBL, classical, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Site & Team Leadership
  • Directly manage 8 learning pod sites and supervise 16 Learning Coaches
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure high-quality implementation of KaiPod’s learning model
  • Build strong, positive team culture across sites through regular coaching, team meetings, and recognition
  • Support Learning Coaches in student progress monitoring, family communication, and social-emotional development
  • Professional Development & Coaching
  • Provide individualized coaching, feedback, and goal-setting for each Learning Coach
  • Lead professional development initiatives aligned to KaiPod’s instructional vision and whole-child framework
  • Create and maintain a library of training resources for Learning Coaches, Catalyst Fellows, and Microschool Partners
  • Academic Oversight & Operations
  • Oversee MAP testing process and support data-driven goal setting and instructional adjustments
  • Support implementation and progress tracking across various virtual and personalized curricula
  • Ensure academic and enrichment programming is high quality, inclusive, and engaging
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with microschool founders and partners to share best practices and align programming
  • Help support marketing and recruitment through participation in events, family engagement, and site storytelling
