Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • At least one (1) year of experience in home care, long-term care, or a similar healthcare setting
  • A compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered mindset
  • Strong communication and observation skills

Responsibilities

  • Create a Clean & Safe Home Environment
  • Perform light housekeeping (bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas)
  • Assist with laundry, dishes, and general tidying
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and organized living space
  • Provide Personal Care & Daily Living Support
  • Assist with hygiene, grooming, dressing, shaving, and transfers
  • Support mobility, ambulation, and prescribed exercise routines
  • Help with eating and other daily living activities
  • Support Nutrition & Meal Preparation
  • Prepare and serve balanced meals
  • Assist with feeding when needed
  • Ensure dietary needs are followed according to the care plan
  • Monitor Health & Well-Being
  • Observe and report changes in physical or emotional condition
  • Document personal care activities, vital signs, and intake/output as required
  • Communicate important updates to the Staffing Coordinator
  • Promote Safe Mobility
  • Assist with walkers, wheelchairs, and hoyer lifts
  • Encourage participation in range-of-motion and prescribed exercises
  • Support family members in safe caregiving practices
  • Medication Assistance
  • Assist with self-administered medications
  • Retrieve medications, read labels, and support proper intake
  • Document medication assistance and ensure proper storage
  • Infection Control & Compliance
  • Follow CDC hand hygiene and infection control guidelines
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and training standards
