PRIMARY FOCUS: Aggressively promote compact equipment in the Knoxville, TN. market. Increase compact & municipality sales revenue from current customers while simultaneously prospecting for new potential customers. Establish a business relationship with customers, new and existing, thereby increasing compact equipment revenue. Increase and maintain our compact equipment machine market share. Establish relationships with all municipalities in the Knoxville, TN. Territory (Cities, Counties, etc.) to then promote and sell our full line of products that we offer. (Komatsu, Takeuchi, LeeBoy, Wirtgen, Etnyre, etc.). DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Develop and maintain a solid base of customers for compact construction machine sales and rentals by strengthening customer relationships and continually broadening the company’s market presence and preferred provider status. Report activities in your assigned territory as it relates to customers, competition, major work, equipment, and the rental industry as a whole in the Companies CRM System. Actively report all sales calls, customer interactions, issues, machine quotes, won/lost deals and updated customer contact information on a daily/weekly basis in the Company’s CRM System. Ensure proper coverage of your customers through proper territory management. Responsible for the profitable achievement of the compact construction equipment budget for the assigned territory. Collaborate with the machine sales person(s) in your territory to identify compact equipment sales/rental revenue customers and a collection of customer and field intelligence as it pertains to compact equipment. Communicate and collaborate with the local Power branch in activities that pertain to the sale and rental of compact equipment. Coordinate with Rental Counter personnel to ensure day to day activities of rental are completed. The CEMSR will be expected to represent Power in a professional and ethical manner at all times. Possess a knowledge of the typical application for compact equipment and its application to customer’s needs. Possess a basic competence in compact equipment operation and the ability to explain such to potential customers. Set-up and conduct compact machinery demonstrations. Become an active and loyal member of APWA (American Public Works Association) and TCHOA (Tennessee County Highway Officials Association).
