Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, education, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, family therapy, or a related human service field; OR...
  • A high school diploma / GED and 5 years supervised clinical experience in mental health or human services.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and think critically
  • Self-motivated and organized
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to navigate and coordinate community-based resources
  • Proficiency in written communication, with the ability to complete documentation accurately and within prescribed timeframes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide community-based mental health services including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention implementation
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Utilize a strengths-based approach that incorporates evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Positive Reinforcement Techniques, Trauma-Informed Strategies, CBT, and DBT
  • Provide behavioral interventions using methods including cognitive processing, operant conditioning, and group dynamics
  • Coordinate care with external providers including physicians, psychiatrists, schools, and community organizations
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and client progress
  • Facilitate PSR (Psychosocial Rehabilitation) group sessions as aligned with treatment plan goals
  • Participate in ongoing staff development and training opportunities
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives through data collection and reporting
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with families, schools, and community supports
