Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related human services field is required; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field with two years of related experience; or
  • A combination of higher education and two years of related experience; or
  • Associate’s of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support will also fulfill educational requirements; or
  • Four years of qualifying experience providing services to individuals with mental health or substance use disorders.
  • Must possess adequate written skills to complete required documentation accurately and within prescribed time frames.
  • Must have a current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to operate a company-owned vehicle.
  • Must be at least twenty-three (23) years of age to operate a company-owned fifteen (15) passenger van.
  • Reliable transportation is required to transport clients as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide community-based mental health services to clients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and implementation of interventions.
  • Collaborate with clients and families to create and execute individualized treatment plans aligning with their specific goals.
  • Utilize a strengths-based approach, emphasizing empowerment and incorporating evidence-based practices like Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Informed Strategies.
  • Coordinate care with primary care physicians, psychiatrists, schools, and community organizations to ensure cohesive support.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and treatment progress, adhering to organizational procedures.
  • Engage in staff development activities to enhance your skills in youth mental health services.
  • Participate in the organization’s quality improvement initiatives through data collection and reporting.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to ensure effective coordination of care and support for clients.
  • Prepare for and facilitate group sessions pertinent to client treatment goals.
