About The Position

Clarvida is seeking a Community Support Specialist – Level II to work directly with children, youth, and families who are at risk of out-of-home placement or whose children have already been removed. In this role, you will meet families in their homes and communities to address child welfare concerns such as housing instability, abuse, neglect, and other barriers to safety and reunification. This is a hands-on, relationship-driven position focused on parenting skills training, trauma-informed education, advocacy, and in-the-moment coaching to strengthen family bonds and promote safe reunification. Transportation and court involvement may be required based on referral needs. You will work independently while collaborating closely with supervisors and multidisciplinary teams, using evidence-based and trauma-informed care models.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services field (Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Special Education, Human Services, or related field)
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Active auto insurance
  • Ability to pass fingerprinting and required background checks

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home and community-based support services to families involved in child welfare
  • Address child welfare concerns including safety, housing, neglect, and family stability
  • Deliver parenting skills training, psychoeducation, and in-the-moment coaching during visits
  • Educate families on life skills, parenting strategies, and the impact of trauma
  • Advocate for children and families and support goal-setting and progress tracking
  • Provide transportation for children and families as required by referral
  • Report concerns of alleged abuse or neglect in accordance with policy and state requirements
  • Testify in court when required
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
  • Utilize trauma-informed and evidence-based practices such as TBRI and Motivational Interviewing
  • Meet regularly with supervisors to support professional growth
