About The Position

United Ability, located in the Oxmoor area of Birmingham, is a program that provides a variety of services to adults with disabilities. We are currently seeking candidates to join our team as a Community Support Professional/Driver providing adults with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy various community activities including small group employment in local businesses. This position has the chance to teach on the go and explore all that our area has to offer. We encourage creativity and utilize a team, collaborative approach. Requirements

High school diploma or GED
CPR/First Aid Red Cross certificate (will obtain on-site after employment)
Valid driver’s license
Successful completion of motor vehicle screening
Ability to lift 50 pounds

Responsibilities

Plan, develop and carry out educational small group outings in a variety of community settings for adults with disabilities.
Plan collaborate and implement community volunteer opportunities
Create curriculum and train adults with disabilities on a variety of skills
Transport adults into the community and oversee safety
