About The Position

American Training, selected as a Top Places to Work in Massachusetts by the Boston Globe, is a non-profit Human Services Agency, is seeking a Community Support Colleague for our Wakefield Day Services Program. In this role, the CSC would be on the road during the day with our Guests traveling throughout the Middlesex County area. We are seeking an energetic Community Support Colleague that can create WOW! Magic for our Guests with Developmental and Intellectual disabilities out in the Community! If you have a passion for people, can make good decisions, and love being out in the community, this is the job for you. The hours are 8-4, Monday through Friday! Description: Create and implement weekly schedules with input from Guests ensuring all activities are meaningful and include a variety of different life skills Adhere to the CBDS model of maintaining all activities in the community Allow flexibility with unanticipated changes to the schedule Work cohesively with team members to promote job exploration opportunities and community involvement Support Guests in working toward obtaining the personal goals outlined in their ISP Driving Guests throughout Middlesex County area Day starts and ends in Wakefield, MA Maintain accurate and up to date records for each Guest Implement the Mission of American Training – “Bringing Out the Best in Everyone We Touch because Every Life Matters!”

Requirements

  • At least one year experience working with similar population
  • Positively promote the image of Guests with Developmental Disabilities and American Training
  • Ability to commute throughout the Middlesex area during the day
  • Satisfactory CORI and DDS fingerprinting
  • Valid State driver’s license (Required)

Responsibilities
