About The Position

Community Supervision Officer (Adult Probation Officer) Rockwall County CSCD, Rockwall, TX Supervise felony and misdemeanor cases Direct and/or Transfer status according to TDCJ-CJAD Standards and Rockwall CSCD Policies. Conduct Pre-sentence Investigation Reports for the local courts. Represent the department in dealing with local, state, and federal agencies in conjunction with casework. Possess excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal) Performs any other duties assigned by the Director of the department.

Requirements

• Applicants must have acquired a Bachelor's Degree conferred by an accredited institution of higher education.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Ability to work well as a team player.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, county officials, state, municipal, civic organizations and agencies.
• Ability to pass TDCJ-CJAD CSO Certification.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, criminal background check, and driving record check.

Nice To Haves

• Past or current employment as a community supervision officer or case management related field is a plus but not mandatory.
• Possess excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal)
