About The Position

The Community Services Director is responsible for overseeing and managing social and community service programs within the Housing Authority of the City of San Buenaventura. Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, assign, supervise, and review the work of staff delivering social and resident service programs.
  • Train staff and volunteers in Housing Authority programs, procedures, policies, and regulations.
  • Participate in the development of goals, objectives, priorities, policies, and procedures for assigned services and programs.
  • Monitor activities of the Community Services work unit and identify opportunities for improving service delivery.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of Sr. Managers, program coordinators, case managers, and support staff.
  • Identify, pursue, and manage grant opportunities and funding sources.
  • Prepare and oversee budgets for community services programs, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate records related to funding, expenditures, and program outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding housing authority programs and services.
  • Coordinate assigned services and operations with other departments, divisions, and outside agencies.
