  • Organizes, plans, and implements recreational programs such as youth camps and senior programs.
  • Assists with hiring, training, and supervision of volunteer, seasonal, temporary, contract, and/or part-time personnel.
  • Coordinates and develops community engagement and recreation programs.
  • Oversees classes, workshops, and activities for participants in recreation programs.
  • Designs and creates marketing and promotional materials, including flyers and social media posts.
  • Purchases supplies for program activities and transports them as needed.
  • Assists in the organization, implementation, and evaluation of rules and procedures for programs.
  • Monitors and controls expenditures for assigned program budgets.
  • Researches new program ideas and maintains records and reports.

  • Responds to public inquiries and investigates complaints regarding programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is desirable.
  • Two years of experience implementing recreation programs or events.
  • Possession of a valid Class C California driver's license.
  • Experience in marketing and promotional materials creation.
  • Knowledge of budget monitoring and implementation.
