About The Position
We have a part-time opportunity for a Community Services Associate to join our dedicated team to help in meeting the educational, recreational, and social needs of our assisted living and independent residents. If you've ever wanted to make a difference in the life of a senior, then this is the job for you! Weekend availability is required, and afternoon and evening hours are available. New Horizons at Marlborough is an upscale, not-for-profit retirement community serving 400 seniors on a beautiful 40-acre suburban campus. We are happy to be part of the Cummings organization, which includes the non-profit Cummings Foundation and the for-profit Cummings Properties, LLC, one of greater Boston's most prominent full-service real estate firms. As a Community Services Associate, your primary role will be to make people happy! You will maintain frequent positive interactions with residents and their families, set up and conduct activities to meet the educational and recreational interests of residents, and be creative, energetic, upbeat, patient, compassionate, and professional at all times. You will assist residents in their pursuit of a fully satisfying residency and a sense of well-being, accompany and assist residents on field trips in our New Horizons bus, and implement the Tender Loving Care (TLC) program to acclimate new residents to their new home and the community at large. Additionally, you will respond to and resolve questions, concerns, or issues from resident/family members, foster a spirit of fun and excitement in all activities, and actively encourage residents to participate in varied activities. This includes supporting dining services during meals and providing coverage for the apothecary and break coverage for the main front desk. As a team player, you will maintain communications with other departments and act as a liaison on the residents' behalf between the residents and their families and New Horizons. DOT Certification is a plus for driving residents to appointments or activities. Weekends are required, with at least one weekend day per week. You must be 18 or older to apply.
