About The Position

The Community Service Officer assists sworn Police Officers in daily operations and enforces the City's codes and ordinances. The CSO is responsible for serving court documents, to include subpoenas, summonses, warrants and restraining orders. The CSO conducts routine safety patrols, interacting with the general public and relaying problems to Dispatch. The CSO is responsible for maintaining work areas and equipment in a clean and professional manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or the equivalent.
• Past work experience that demonstrates ability to work with the public.
• Valid Alaska Drivers' License.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in the Yup'ik language highly desirable.
• First aid and CPR or EMT training is highly desirable.
• Public safety-related experience or training preferred.
