About The Position
The City of Austin is seeking a part-time non-sworn, non-licensed uniformed part-time community service officer/police cadet for our police department, who is pursuing a career in law enforcement. The position provides support services to police officers with traffic control, accidents and impounds; and performs administrative duties, including writing reports, with operational training to eventually become a full-time police officer.
