About The Position

As a Community Resource Navigator, you’ll listen and respond to the needs of patients and community members—guiding them to helpful programs and services across the continuum of care. This position promotes the health and wellbeing of our community by connecting people with the programs of the Peter Alfond Prevention & Healthy Living Center.

Requirements

  • Ability to handle a variety of conversations—including those that may be emotional or complex—with empathy, patience, and professionalism
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, calls, and follow-ups
  • Knowledge of Central Maine’s community resources and programs
  • Comfort using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and learning new systems
  • A supportive, nonjudgmental approach and a strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Respond to public inquiries over the phone regarding a wide range of needs
  • Research and share community-based resources and services
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support callers
  • Document information accurately in a database while assisting callers
  • Provide kind, thoughtful, and clear guidance—primarily through administrative support
