About The Position

The Community Relations & Marketing Manager is responsible for elevating our brand presence in the community, driving patient acquisition and retention through strategic marketing, and cultivating partnerships that advance our mission. This role blends hands-on event execution, sponsorship management, content and campaign development, public relations, and physician/partner outreach. The manager will collaborate closely with clinical leadership, operations, and front-line teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality patient experience aligned with our organizational values.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 4–7 years of experience in marketing and/or community relations; healthcare, sports, or multi-location service experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success planning and executing community events and sponsorships.
  • Proficiency with marketing tools (e.g., email platforms, social media suites, basic analytics dashboards, CMS).
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and editing skills; comfort with press/media coordination.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret metrics and make optimization recommendations.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for events and partner meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a community engagement strategy that increases brand visibility and patient referrals across key markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with schools, athletic programs, clubs/gyms, senior centers, employers, and local organizations.
  • Plan and execute community events (e.g., injury prevention clinics, health fairs, team fittings, screenings), including logistics, staffing, materials, and post-event follow-up.
  • Manage sponsorships and donations: evaluate opportunities, negotiate terms, ensure brand alignment, and measure ROI.
  • Serve as a point of contact for external partners, athletic trainers, and referring providers, coordinate speaking engagements and community education.
  • Own the annual marketing calendar—multichannel campaigns across web, social, email, print, and onsite signage.
  • Partners with operations to promote service lines (e.g., sports medicine, total joint replacement, walk-in/urgent orthopedic care) and new providers or locations.
  • Create or oversee content (blogs, patient stories, provider spotlights, newsletters, short-form video) and ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Coordinate digital presence with website updates (service pages, provider bios, calls-to-action) and local listings (Google Business Profiles, maps, directories).
  • Manage social media strategy, community management, and engagement tracking.
  • Oversee creative assets and production with vendors or internal designers; manage collateral (brochures, posters, in-office materials).
  • Track and report campaign performance; recommend optimizations based on analytics and patient acquisition metrics.
  • Draft press releases and media pitches; coordinate interviews and coverage for key announcements.
  • Monitor and respond to online reviews in collaboration with patient experience/operations; escalate feedback trends and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure consistent voice and brand standards across all public-facing communications.
  • Build and maintain relationships with primary care, urgent care, school AT programs, PT partners, and other referral sources.
  • Develop outreach materials and referral kits; coordinate office visits and provider-to-provider meet-and-greets.
  • Track referral patterns and collaborate with leadership on growth initiatives.
