The Community Relations Coordinator at Prairie View Inc. is responsible for enhancing the organization's online presence and community engagement through effective marketing strategies and communication. This role involves creating and managing content, optimizing web and social media platforms, and coordinating community events to promote Prairie View's services and brand awareness.

  • Work with the Leadership Team to analyze online keywords and update tags, titles, AdWords, and banners for optimization.
  • Create engaging, SEO-focused content for release that is consumer-centric.
  • Revise marketing tools and web content to maintain interest and accuracy.
  • Create new marketing materials while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Assist with preparing exhibits and providing coverage as needed.
  • Continuously update the website with new information.
  • Build online marketing banners and content for social media sharing.
  • Create marketing materials as assigned by the Leadership Team.
  • Oversee and manage website content and functionality, ensuring data is up to date and links are functional.
  • Coordinate and assist with community education and engagement events.
  • Provide clear communication to the community regarding Prairie View's services.
  • Take photos for internal events and write press releases for organizational communications.
  • Build marketing kits for events such as back to school and job fairs.
  • Research and purchase new marketing materials and keep inventory of marketing products.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Two years of prior work experience in public relations or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and internet marketing.
  • Ability to build relationships with key media contacts.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Valid Kansas driver's license and insurable through Prairie View insurance.
  • Experience with Google AdWords.
  • Familiarity with social media marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge of community engagement practices.
