About The Position

The Community Relations Coordinator at Tidelands Health is responsible for executing a community relations strategy that positions the health system as a good neighbor in the communities it serves. This role involves managing the Better for Life program for adults aged 50 and above, overseeing community sponsorships and donations, and participating in community events. The coordinator will also assist the marketing and communications team with various initiatives and take on additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a marketing or community outreach role.
  • Direct experience managing relationships, planning and executing events, and overseeing outreach programs.
  • A history of community involvement and service with not-for-profit civic and professional organizations.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a community relations strategy for Tidelands Health.
  • Manage all aspects of the Better for Life program for adults 50+, including program design, membership acquisition, and member communications.
  • Handle community requests for sponsorships and donations according to established policy.
  • Participate in community events and activities, especially those sponsored by the health system.
  • Engage with community organizations of strategic interest to the health system as directed by the vice president of marketing.
  • Assist the marketing and communications team with other initiatives as needed.
