About The Position

Chestnut is seeking a passionate and experienced Community Recovery Technical Assistance Specialist to support our Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC) initiatives. This position plays a vital role in strengthening community recovery efforts through technical assistance, training, and collaboration with local councils and stakeholders. Chestnut Health Systems is a leading provider of integrated health care services. We provide fully integrated care for all our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers. Requirements

  • Master's degree in behavioral health, public health, education, or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of recovery principles, program development, evaluation, and community capacity building.
  • Grant writing and budgeting experience (preferred)
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Zoom, and online reporting systems.
  • Valid driver's license, private automobile insurance, insurability, and home internet connection required.
  • Ability to travel within the designated site plan area.
  • Must be able to obtain DCFS CANTS Child Abuse Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Support ROSC projects by developing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating recovery-focused programs and events.
  • Provide guidance to ROSC councils on evidence-based practices, organizational development, and member engagement.
  • Monitor deliverables for timeliness and alignment with grant outcomes; provide feedback on submitted materials.
  • Maintain consistent communication with ROSC council leadership and participate in local council meetings.
  • Assess training and technical assistance needs of council leadership and develop tailored training programs.
  • Deliver trainings based on identified needs, cohort characteristics, and current research.
  • Prepare and submit program and grant reports in a timely manner.
  • Mentor and train staff and interns, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Represent Chestnut in local, state, and national advocacy groups focused on recovery supports.
  • Participate in agency meetings, staff development, and other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Promote trauma-informed recovery principles including hope, respect, empowerment, wellness, and connectedness.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of all organizational and client information.
  • Uphold Chestnut's standards for customer service excellence in all interactions.
