About The Position

The Community Protection Coordinator is responsible for providing basic security services to ensure the safety and control of clients, employees, and visitors at the Community Renewal Team. This role involves patrolling the premises, responding to emergencies, and enforcing regulations to maintain order. The position requires effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others while ensuring a secure environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• 1 to 3 years of experience as a security guard
• Good communication skills
• Ability to serve clients' needs
• Physical fitness to perform the duties of the position

Responsibilities

• Enforces regulations relating to personal behavior, parking, and traffic control on property.
• Directs and gives information and assistance to visitors.
• Responds to members' emergency alert calls.
• Guards entrances and exits to prevent trespass, vandalism, theft, and other violations.
• Performs routine security patrols and monitors security and alarm systems to detect theft and other criminal acts.
• Provides security escorts.
• Performs dispatching and record-keeping functions at a desk post.
• Assists in searching for missing members and may assist in fire prevention and firefighting activities.
• Maintains order among members and employees.
• Acts as the main contact for information if outside law enforcement support is required.
