About The Position

The Community/Patient Advocate for Bleeding Disorders/Hemophilia at Next Step Specialty Pharmacy is responsible for providing support and resources to individuals and families affected by bleeding disorders. This role emphasizes compassionate advocacy, education, and relationship-building to enhance patient care and retention within the community.

Requirements

• Experience with hemophilia and/or other bleeding disorders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Experience in healthcare advocacy or patient support roles.
• Knowledge of the healthcare system and resources available for patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational resources to individuals and their families with bleeding disorders by partnering with local, state, and national chapters.
• Foster relationships and provide patient retention in the assigned territory.
• Work to establish and promote hemophilia support groups in the territory.
• Help patients and their families navigate the healthcare system as a liaison with their care team.
• Partner with Pharmaceuticals Reps to host educational dinners.
• Advocate on a state, local, and national level to assist in bringing better access to care for individuals living with a bleeding disorder.
• Maintain communication with the Director of Advocacy on a weekly basis by providing weekly updates.
