In partnership with The Family League of Baltimore and community leaders, the George & Betsy Sherman Center is implementing the Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters ( HIPPY ) program to promote family engagement and early learning in the Cherry Hill and Curtis Bay communities in Baltimore City. The Parent Educator will work alongside the Program Coordinator to conduct weekly 1:1 visits with enrolled caregivers to deliver the HIPPY US curriculum using a role-play model. The Parent Educator will be responsible for collaborating with program staff to provide family engagement opportunities, connect families to the school community, and work with community organizations to provide wrap-around services to families. They serve as the liaison among families, schools, the community, UMBC, and the Family League of Baltimore. Why Work at UMBC? UMBC offers competitive compensation.
