Community Outreach Representative
About The Position
Verdugo Strategies is seeking motivated and outgoing Community Outreach Representatives to join our campaign team in Los Angeles, CA. This is paid, meaningful work that allows you to empower the community through civic engagement, mobilization, and strategic advocacy. As a Community Outreach Representative, you will be the face of our mission, connecting directly with the public at community events and residences to raise awareness about important issues in the community. - Pay: $22 per hour - Schedule: Flexible hours (~20 hours per week), Monday–Friday during the daytime - Duration: Immediate start through the middle of May 2026 - Work Environment: Active, field-based, and outdoors.
Requirements
- Bilingual Skills: Must be able to read, write, and speak both English and Spanish at a professional level.
- Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Technology: Must have a working smartphone with an active data plan.
- Physical Ability: Comfortable walking long distances and standing for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
- Reliability: Punctual and able to maintain 100% honesty in data reporting.
Nice To Haves
- Prior outreach, canvassing, or customer service experience is preferred, but not required.
- A valid Driver’s License is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Engage community members in a positive and professional manner to deliver information about important issues to the community.
- Assist with flyering, information distribution, and data collection.
