About The Position
Volunteers of America is a federal and state funded comprehensive early childhood education program with a focus on child development that includes a child's cognitive, physical and social emotional growth and development. The program fosters Family Engagement in all areas of a child's development and provides comprehensive resources to low income families in the areas of health, nutrition and community resources. Under the supervision of the Family Service Coordinator, the Community Outreach Liaison will oversee the collaborative, planning and coordination of community events of the Early Head Start. Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, serving as a community outreach liaison identifying possible community partnerships and education opportunities with local business and organizations; and performs related duties as assigned.
