About The Position
The purpose of this classification is to educate community members on programs provided by an assigned department through coordinating various outreach events, creating and distributing promotional materials, and maintaining relationships with stakeholders. This is a journey-level classification that is responsible for serving as a liaison with the public and providing education and awareness regarding department programs. This class works under general supervision from a supervisor/manager level position. Incumbents are expected to become/remain up to date regarding methods, protocols, procedures, and applicable regulations. This class requires the flexibility to attend events during evenings and weekends, as necessary.
