About The Position

Career opportunities abound at SOUND! SOUND Behavioral Health is growing, and we are hiring an AOT Clinician in Seattle, WA! This person will work with high-risk, high acuity clients and conduct assessments in the field. Additionally, this role will require frequent communication with legal representatives, including judges. Assisted outpatient treatment (AOT) is the practice of providing community-based mental health treatment under civil court commitment, as a means of: (1) motivating an adult with mental illness who struggles with voluntary treatment adherence to engage fully with their treatment plan; and (2) focusing the attention of treatment providers on the need to work diligently to keep the person engaged in effective treatment. Click here to learn more about AOT. Location: Outreach-focused role throughout the Seattle area. Home base is located at the Capitol Hill clinic (1600 E Olive St, Seattle, Washington, 98122). This role requires driving. Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Accepting Applications until March 13th, 2026.

Requirements

Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a counseling-related field, with a strong emphasis on working with families and community agencies required.
Must have an MHP certificate.
Valid professional licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, etc.) is preferred or must be working towards licensure with supervision.
Must be able to obtain a WA State Agency Affiliated Counselor credential within the first 60 days of hire.
Must pass a criminal background check.
Washington State driver's license and an insurable driving record required.

Nice To Haves

Experience: Strong knowledge of mental health disorders with previous experience in crisis intervention, emergency mental health services, and trauma-informed care is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides, direct services and/or internal and external organization referrals for clients.
Responsible for providing clinical intakes/assessments for new clients
Maintains accurate and timely clinical records according to organization policy.
Prepares necessary reports, summaries and progress notes, and incorporates into clinical records.
Performs consultations and liaison duties with other agencies and resources on behalf of the client.
Provides outreach, engagement, care coordination and intervention to clients.
Assists client to achieve and sustain stability in the community, thereby reducing the use of hospitals or involuntary treatment services.
Monitors medication regimes and treatment compliance.
Monitors utilization of services and the success of outcome measures.
Participates in team member meetings, consultations, case presentations and in-service training.
Participates in ongoing program development and assessment.
Works collaboratively with AOT peer and provider to support clients in achieving and sustaining stability.
Performs other duties as assigned.
