About The Position

The Community Museum Philanthropy Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting fundraising initiatives for community museums across Colorado. This position collaborates with various teams to design and implement strategies that enhance financial support for museum initiatives, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and fostering relationships within the community. The coordinator will also assist in managing donor information and grant writing efforts, contributing to the overall mission of History Colorado to serve and engage diverse communities through historical education and preservation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (history degree preferred) or equivalent education and experience.
  • Three years minimum of project management; planning events; working with volunteers.
  • Experience in preparing presentations and multimedia graphic impact reports (Power Point and InDesign expertise highly regarded).
  • A valid Colorado driver's license must be maintained as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Community Museum and Philanthropy Teams to design and implement fundraising strategies for community museum initiatives.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Community Museum team and the Philanthropy team.
  • Monitor and manage all Community Museum donor information.
  • Actively seek grant writing opportunities to support community museum initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage grant reports, deadlines, and compliance.
  • Support the Center for Colorado Women's History special events, programs, tours, and other museum operations as needed.
