About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Community Mortgage Bank Sales Consultant (SAFE) in Consumer Lending as part of Home Lending. This role involves originating mortgage loans within assigned bank branches, collaborating with branch leadership, and mentoring employees to enhance their knowledge of mortgage products and processes. The consultant will also conduct outreach to customers, provide high-quality service, and ensure compliance with mortgage regulations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of sales experience or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 2+ years of mortgage retail sales experience (desired).
  • Expertise in general lending products and overall mortgage industry experience (desired).
  • Experience with retail residential mortgage and purchase fundings (desired).
  • Established relationships with diverse realtor organizations and affordable lending nonprofits (desired).
  • Experience with community loan products and specialized LMI mortgage solutions (desired).
  • FHA/VA & conventional loan experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of sales prospecting and generating referrals (desired).
  • Experience educating clients on various mortgage purchase programs (desired).
  • Experience developing and cultivating professional relationships (desired).
  • Customer service experience (desired).
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (desired).
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills (desired).
  • Ability to provide leadership by coaching, training, and mentoring (desired).

Responsibilities

  • Originate mortgage loans within assigned bank branches.
  • Collaborate with branch leadership and participate in branch huddles.
  • Mentor and coach employees on mortgage products and processes.
  • Conduct outbound calls to existing and prospective customers regarding mortgage loan products.
  • Interact with customers to understand their needs and provide high-quality customer service.
  • Process loan applications for mortgage transactions and review rates and terms within guidelines.
  • Maintain high standards of client satisfaction and quality through timely communication.
  • Pursue Wells Fargo training offerings to increase knowledge of company products and policies.
  • Adhere to policies, underwriting requirements, and compliance requirements.
  • Stay informed of mortgage industry trends and develop visibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.
