Learn more about us at utahfoodbank.org SUMMARY: Coordinate all aspects of the Community Mobile Pantry for Northern UFB service area. This position will also work with network agencies operating “mobile style”. Ensure program follows Feeding America, USDA and UFB standards; meet UFB site visit requirements; ensure required data is obtained from mobile pantry sites. Maintain mobile pantry publications and schedules. Some travel is required, including limited overnight travel.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years directly related experience dealing with clients/customers in social service setting
  • Able to work with diverse groups and individuals in a friendly but firm manner
  • Able to work independently and as a team member
  • Must be able to plan, direct and complete complex tasks
  • Strong organization skills and excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing
  • Good customer service skills; excellent leadership and conflict-resolution skills
  • Intermediate computer skills with databases and spreadsheet programs
  • Able to relate to clients, agency staff, donors and the community at large in a positive manner
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (MVR required prior to hire)
  • High positive energy level and high standards of professional ethics and conduct

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee UFB operated mobile pantry operations, deliveries, at scheduled sites.
  • Build strong rapport with mobile pantry (MP) site leads through frequent site visits and regular and effective communication.
  • Assist site lead and onsite volunteers with food distribution when conducting regular site visits.
  • Work with drivers, site coordinators, and volunteers to ensure events run smoothly and that all guidelines are followed.
  • Maintain and restock supplies required for mobile pantry operations.
  • Conduct formal monitoring visits to ensure adherence to current UFB policies and procedures.
  • Maximize volunteer involvement in MP program operations and participate in recruitment coordination and support as needed.
  • Conduct partner agency relations activities at sites operating mobile style. This includes conducting monitoring visits answering questions, assisting with issues, and ensuring compliance with UFB and Feeding America procedures.
  • Create or adjust agency orders to meet size/quantity, cultural, and dietary preferences.
  • Train, communicate with, and support site leads and partner agencies, providing written materials and operational guidance as needed.
  • Onboard and train new partner agencies and MP sites; offer ongoing training and support.
  • Conduct ongoing partner agency file audits to ensure full compliance.
  • Keep Programs Manager/Director informed of program issues, concerns, and developments.
  • Participate in conferences and represent UFB in community events as assigned.
  • Ensure all partner agencies and MP sites adhere to UFB and Feeding America health and safety standards, including sanitation requirements.
  • Maintain current food safety training (State Food Handler Permit and/or ServSafe).
  • Ensure MP sites collect and submit client service reports; ensure partner agencies submit required food drive and service reports accurately and on time.
  • Enter and maintain agency and site account information into UFB systems.
  • Verify monthly distribution to sites and update schedules as needed on the UFB website.
  • Gather information from partner agencies and site leads and then work collaboratively with warehouse, inventory, and transportation as needed to ensure sites receive their food orders on time and in correct quantities
  • Provide excellent customer service to partner agencies, site leads, volunteers, and network clients.
  • Maintain a positive, professional work atmosphere and communicate respectfully with UFB coworkers and managers.
  • Back up other Programs Department staff, including mobile pantry and children’s programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
