About The Position

Jefferson Apartment Group is a full-service real estate firm specializing in multifamily and mixed-use real estate investments through our acquisition, development, construction and property management services. We are seeking a Community Manager to lead our team at J Rivelle, a brand-new, luxury lease‑up community in Arlington, VA J Rivelle is a 442 unit, 27-story mixed-use luxury high-rise located at the foot of the iconic Key Bridge, connecting Northern Virginia and the fashionable Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, DC. Residences feature top-of-market finishes including floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies boasting unimpeded views. A glass skybridge connects the two residential towers which features a clubroom with full kitchen, private dining room, fireplace, gaming area—and sweeping views. The rooftop offers a resort-style pool, entertainment deck, and a 270-degree observation deck with unobstructed views of the nation’s capital, National Cathedral, and Potomac River. The primary objective of the Community Manager is to supervise all phases of on-site operations, including the hiring, management of job performance and training of onsite staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of property management experience in a managerial (Community Manager) capacity required.

  • Previous lease-up experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Motivates staff.
  • Manages hiring and when necessary, termination of onsite staff.
  • Determines transitions and promotions for on-site staff.
  • Handles emergency situations.
  • Develops and implements new strategies and programs designed to ensure long-term residency.
  • Oversees collection of revenue and handles delinquent accounts.
  • Performs regular inspections of the apartment community.
  • Handles evictions and landlord liens.
  • Adheres to and implements all company policies.
  • Audits lease files.
  • Implements scheduled rent increases.
  • Oversees payment of invoices.
  • Assists in budget preparation.
  • Monitors parking lot for unauthorized vehicles.
