About The Position
Conifer Realty is seeking a professional, self-motivated Community Manager to lead and manage the site teams at Twin Oaks Apartments, located in Hempstead, NY. This role is crucial for ensuring that the apartment community, which consists of 94 units, operates smoothly and efficiently. The Community Manager will be responsible for overseeing the completion of work orders, managing apartment turnover for new residents, and ensuring that leasing meets expected occupancy goals. Additionally, the Community Manager will handle employee training and performance management, creating a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees. The Community Manager will report directly to the Regional Manager and collaborate with key partners in Compliance, Property Management, Property Finance, Human Resources, and outside housing authority representatives. This position requires a strong understanding of property management, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. The role also involves conducting background checks and drug screenings for potential employees. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with housing program requirements, managing the occupancy of the property, recruiting and training team members, handling move-ins and move-outs, managing maintenance requests, assisting in budget development, and collecting rents while managing delinquent accounts.
