About The Position

The Community Manager at The Preserve at Travis Creek is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the property, including overseeing team members, daily activities, and resources to achieve established budgeted financial and operational goals. The role ensures compliance with company policies and various laws governing multi-family housing operations. The Community Manager will provide input into budget development, manage financial transactions, oversee lease enforcement, and promote resident satisfaction. Additionally, the position involves conducting property inspections and managing the performance of property staff.

Requirements

  • Experience in property management or a related field.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze financial statements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a team and oversee daily operations.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a leadership role within property management.
  • Familiarity with property management software.
  • Certifications related to property management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the assigned property.
  • Provide input into the development of budgets by analyzing financial statements and marketing information.
  • Meet targeted revenues by setting rent rates and ensuring timely collection of rent and fees.
  • Approve invoices from vendors and contractors for payment.
  • Control expenditures by managing the approved budget and petty cash fund.
  • Oversee the lease enforcement process, including approving resident applications and conducting inspections.
  • Analyze market trends to implement marketing and leasing strategies.
  • Promote resident satisfaction by addressing complaints and service issues.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness.
  • Supervise property staff by hiring, training, and managing performance.
  • Assist in managing the client/owner relationship through property tours and updates.
