About The Position

The Community Manager will be responsible for overseeing all business operations at one of the apartment communities. This role requires strong resident relations and interpersonal skills, effective communication, leadership, training abilities, dependability, professionalism, and a team-player attitude.

Requirements

  • Three-plus years of related multi-family property management experience
  • Knowledge of State and Federal program rules, as well as policies and procedures of low-income housing programs
  • Strong leadership and management skills are essential

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years in tax credit or affordable housing experience is preferred
  • Experience with Onesite software a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervise leasing and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with company policy
  • Analyze performance and trends to develop and implement monthly marketing plan
  • Trains, motivates and supervises all on-site staff in order to achieve operational goals of assigned community. This includes new employee orientation and training, ongoing formal and informal performance evaluation, review and approval of time-sheets, instructing and advising on-site staff of employee procedures and guidelines
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining the highest standards for resident service
  • Assist in preparation of budget, and adherence to approved budgets
  • Complete month-end and year-end reporting as required
  • Provide narrative of all monthly budget variances +/- 10% per line item
  • Ensure that property operations are compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements
