About The Position

The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a designated property, ensuring that it meets financial and operational goals while complying with relevant laws and company policies. This role involves managing staff, handling financial transactions, maintaining resident satisfaction, and implementing marketing strategies to optimize occupancy and revenue.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in property management or a related field.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze financial reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with budget development and financial management.
  • Familiarity with marketing strategies for residential properties.
  • Previous experience in customer service or resident relations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the assigned property.
  • Analyze financial statements and develop budgets for the property.
  • Set rent rates and ensure timely collection of rent and fees.
  • Approve invoices from vendors and manage communication regarding payments.
  • Control expenditures and maintain the petty cash fund.
  • Oversee lease enforcement processes and conduct apartment inspections.
  • Implement marketing and leasing strategies based on market trends.
  • Promote resident satisfaction by addressing complaints and service issues.
  • Ensure compliance of maintenance team with company standards.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to maintain safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Supervise property staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Assist in managing client/owner relationships and provide property performance updates.
