About The Position

The Community Life Coordinator (CLC) at Denver Rescue Mission is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shelter during the overnight shift. This role focuses on ensuring the safety and security of residents, managing work therapy programs, maintaining cleanliness, and handling inventory and maintenance tasks. The CLC plays a crucial role in supporting individuals experiencing homelessness and addiction, providing guidance and training to program participants, and ensuring that the facility operates smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least one year of relevant experience.
• Strong communication skills, both written and orally.
• Ability to resolve conflict professionally and respectfully.
• Basic knowledge of Windows software applications.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or addiction.
• Knowledge of safety and MSDS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of the facility and residents during the shift.
• Control drugs, alcohol, or other hazards that could jeopardize the mission's purpose.
• Manage and train program participants in their job duties and soft skills.
• Maintain cleanliness of the mission according to established standards.
• Monitor and manage inventory supplies for daily operations.
• Submit maintenance tickets as needed based on daily inspections.
• Ensure all services are started and finished according to schedule.
• Understand and execute the daily running of the mission, focusing on cleanliness, bed check-in, and facility safety.
