About The Position

The Community Engagement Liaison will serve as a link between the medical group and the community by creating brand awareness through grassroots and community-based efforts. Implements retention and growth strategies to achieve membership and marketing goals of the group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related discipline preferred; exceptional experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Bilingual and bicultural (Threshold languages preferred).
  • 2+ years related experience, strong public speaking/presentations skills, ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with little supervision.
  • Proven success with event planning or equivalent training.
  • Proficient in Office Suite and highly skilled in Outlook and Inter/Intranet use.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Must have California driver’s license, use own vehicle for business related travel and be responsible for all liability on vehicle.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous healthcare marketing and/or grassroots/community outreach experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Creates opportunities in the community with co-sponsored forums, events and presentations to reach and educate the community and other stakeholders on RMG, LCH and ADOC programs, in order to build awareness, retain membership and drive enrollment.
  • Coordinates activities and executes quality preventive services and educational programs to help improve the understanding our members have of their health benefits and how to best use them by participating in community health fairs and employer sponsored meetings.
  • Builds relationships and engages with professional, civic and private organizations in collaborative efforts to reach common market segments and meet common goals as well as support company core values.
  • Maintains and builds relationships with community leaders, health plans, community based organizations, churches, schools, daycares, etc.
  • Acts as the primary lead and coordinator for all Medicare 101 events/programs and New Member Orientations in his/her territory.
  • Prepares and monitors budget for area events to include event giveaways and material needs, event resource requirements, and other expenses.
  • Delivers presentations, attends meetings and distributes educational materials to both members and potential members.
  • Frequent travel within assigned territory required.
  • Meets monthly, quarterly, and annual goals as established by management.
