About The Position

The Community Liaison at Canton Medical Center serves as a vital link between the organization and the local community. This role is responsible for promoting and enhancing the visibility of the organization's programs by building and maintaining strong relationships with community partners and participating in local events and initiatives. The position involves planning, coordinating, implementing, and executing various events and programs within the community, ensuring a positive organizational image. The Community Liaison actively engages with local schools, Chambers of Commerce, and businesses to improve the organization's presence and visibility. Responsibilities may also include managing a local newsletter and internal communications, developing presentations for public sharing, and partnering with marketing to execute the local marketing plan. The role may require representation on local boards and necessitates excellent interpersonal skills, organization, and communication abilities. Some events may require working on weekends and evenings.

Requirements

  • Associate degree required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Area of focus in marketing, public relations, or communications preferred.
  • Experience in community relations/public affairs and event coordination preferred.
  • Current valid driver's license may be required depending on location.
  • Must meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category III drivers.
