About The Position
The Baylor Bridge Program is a conditional admission program for students who initially do not meet the undergraduate admission requirements. Baylor Bridge students are invited to a residential experience in the Summer II term. After completing seven credit hours and earning a 2.5 GPA, students will be offered full admission to Baylor University. The Graduate Apprentices for Baylor Bridge will live in the residence hall alongside the Bridge students to foster student engagement and success and connect students with appropriate resources across their Baylor Bridge experience. The Apprentices will have a daily presence with the Bridge students in Summer II through program-wide social activities, study sessions, casual evening gatherings, group text thread, and other ways to build connection to one another and to Baylor University. The GA's will also gain teaching experience alongside Dr. Rishi Sriram. Dr. Sriram will lead a lecture session on Mondays for STL 1103: The Science of Success for Bridge students in Summer II. The Bridge GA's will lead a smaller, seminar-style section on Wednesdays discussing the week's lecture.
